Bagni di Vinadio

The village of Vinadio is in the Stura valley at 910 m a.s.l. and hosts the imposing Albertine Fort built in the XIX century. The district of Vinadio is composed by side valleys rich in pinewoods where one can find fresh streams and little alpine lakes. In this attractive landscape there are the old hamlets called  Podio Soprano, Neraissa, Castellar delle Vigne and San Bernolfo, where the typical features of alpine architecture are well preserved.

The hamlet called Bagni di Vinadio  is well known thanks to the Terme (thermal baths), whose sulphur springs (at 1330 m a.s.l.) flow from the rocks of Mount Oliva at a temperature of 60°C. This thermal baths have been known since Roman times for being effective against various ilnesses that are treated with baths, aerosol theraphy, inhalations, mud baths and grottoes. For more info:

The Bagni di Vinadio cross-country ski centre (in the hamlet of Strepeis) offers 20 km of beautiful trails among woods and breathtaking landscapes.
